Karen Kasumi Karen Kasumi is a lovely, kind, self-assured woman. However, on the inside, she is very lonely. As a child her mother thought that she was a devil for her gifts and she died because of them. At the funneral the priests convince her that she was good a person and not a devil like her late mother told she was. She seems to believe that she is the most "expendable" of the Seals and if there is danger she should be the first to face it because no one would cry for her if she were to die. Karen is a "firecaster" and has developed a friendship with Seiichiro Aoki. Even though she finds herself attracted to him, she respects the fact that he has a family and decides to protect Aoki for their sake. |
| Subaru Sumeragi Subaru is the 13th head of the Sumeragi Clan. He is very quiet and somewhat of a loner but he has a very kind heart and at one point in X TV he reaches out to a catatonic Kamui with his memories and emotions and is able to wake him and give him renewed hope and inner strength for the imminent battle with the DoE. Subaru had a twin sister named Hokuto who was killed by Seishiro Sakurazuka, a DoE. His true wish is to die |

Sorata Arisugawa Sorata is a very lively, funny, cheerful young man from Osaku. Since he was three, he was raised by Stargazer Chuu at Mt. Kouya. Stargazer Chuu told Sorata that his destiny is to fight alongside Kamui as one of the Seven Seals, however, he will die for the sake of a woman. Sorata knows that Chuu's stargazing has never been wrong, so he prefers to die for a beautiful woman. When Sorata meets Arashi Kishu for the first time, he immediately decides on her as the woman he will sacrifice his life to protect, much to Arashi's consternation. |
| Arashi Kishu Arashi is the first DoH to be gathered up by Hinoto. She is the Kakushi Miko "Hidden Shrine Maiden" of the Ise Shrine and carries all the power of the shrine within her. This power, takes the form of a hidden sword sheathed in Arashi's hand. Arashi is cool, calm, and serious and a very capable fighter. Arashi is also the object of her fellow DoH member Sorata's affections. Althrough as she hangs more with him she shows more enmotions. |

Yuzuriha Nekoi At fourteen, Yuzuriha is the youngest member of the DoH. She is from the Mitsumine shrine which uses dogs as servant spirits. Her "spirit-dog" is Inuki. Inuki can change into any form according to Yuzuriha will. In the tv anime, Inuki always changes into a sword which Yuzuriha wields in battle. When Yuzuriha was a child, she had a reputation as a liar among her peers because only people with powers can see Inuki and therefore none of her classmates believed he existed. The first person Yuzuriha encounters who can see Inuki is Kusanagi Shiyu, one of the DoE. Yuzuriha is so happy that he can see Inuki, she breaks down in tears and hugs a very surprised and perplexed Kusanagi. Despite being on opposite sides, Yuzuriha and Kusanagi develop a very close relationship. |
| Seiichiro Aoki Seiichiro Aoki is a friendly, mild-mannered gentleman who loves his wife and daughter very much. He works as a editor for books downtown.In the anime, he files for divorce because he feels his family would be safer away from him since he is one of the DoH in the upcoming battle for the fate of the Earth. However he plans to remarry his wife if he survives. Aoki is a "windcaster" and is often seen with Karen Kasumi. He has told her he would be sad if she died (which she believed nobody would) and has made her promise not to do anything to make him sad. |

Hinoto Hinoto is the dreamgazer for the DoH. She can neither hear, speak, nor see and is very child-like in appearance though she is much older than she looks. As a dreamgazer, she can see into the future and she is the one who gathers together the DoH. She is kind and polite in nature, however, she has a dark side that emerges later in the anime that is very evil and manipulative. |
| Kotori Monou Kotori is the younger sister of Fuma and was a close childhood friend of Kamui. She loves Kamui and is very happy and excited when he returns to Tokyo. Kotori is very kind and fragile and cares very deeply for her brother and Kamui. She has great potential to become a dreamgazer and is plagued by reoccurring nightmares of her brother and Kamui battling each other and of her own death. |

Daisuke Saiki Daisuke is the nephew of Aoki and a protecter/servent of Hinoto. He is also a windcaster, but cannot create a kekkai because he is not a Seal. He is very devoted to Hinoto and wishes only to protect her even at the expense of his life. You can almost say that he loves her. |
